The seasons are changing which means haying season is coming to an end. As a farmer, life is a gamble. No need to go to Vegas, just step outside to see your odds. But the welcoming spring moisture this season refreshed the fields and brought a good crop of hay and much needed water to our valley. A true appreciation after last year’s drought. It’s wonderful to see the hay yard full of round bales. Grandpa’s words ring true, “hay in the yard is like money in the bank”.
